The General Body consisting of all the registered members of the Association lays down the overall policy of the Association and meets at least once a year.
Powers and Functions.
The General Body shall have the following powers and functions: –
- Lay down policy of the Association;
- Elect Executive Committee including office bearers;
- Consider and approve the annual report of activities, audited accounts and deal with all matters that require the General Body’s decision or approval;
- Approve the annual budget as prepared and presented by the Executive Committee;
- Appoint qualified auditor for audit of the AWRP accounts for every financial year;
- Act as final authority in all matters relating to functions, activities and operations of the Association including amendment in the Constitution when necessary;
- Formally approve the cancellation of membership(s) recommended by the Executive Committee by simple majority at the Annual or General Body Meeting;
- Appoint and approve a renowned person as the Patron of the Association on the recommendation of Executive Committee. The Patron may be consulted on any issue by the Executive Committee and may attend its meetings. Whenever, the Patron attends any meeting, he shall preside over it.
